Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente (usually 8-10 minutes). Drain the pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:
    • While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for 1-2 minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant and golden but not burnt.
    • Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Combine Pasta and Sauce:

    • Add the reserved pasta cooking water a little at a time to help the sauce cling to the pasta. Continue tossing to combine.
