  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup sherry wine
  • 1 can beef broth (14.5 oz)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  • Caramelize the Onions: In a Dutch oven, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of sugar.
