Description

Indulge in these Fried Cheese-Stuffed Doritos, where crunchy Doritos are filled with gooey melted cheese and coated with a crispy panko crust. Perfect for parties, game day snacks, or a fun family treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag of Doritos (any flavor you prefer)
  • 8 oz block of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite melting cheese)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cheese: Cut the block of cheese into small, bite-sized cubes or sticks, depending on your preference.
  • Crush the Doritos: Place the Doritos in a resealable plastic bag and crush them using a rolling pin until finely ground. Transfer to a shallow dish.
  • Prepare Breading Stations: In one shallow dish, place the all-purpose flour. In another dish, whisk the eggs. In a third dish, mix crushed Doritos with panko, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Coat the Cheese: Coat each piece of cheese in flour, dip into the eggs, and then roll in the Doritos-panko mixture, pressing to adhere.
  • Chill: Place coated cheese pieces on a tray and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes to help the coating adhere.
  • Heat the Oil: Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat until it reaches about 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry the Cheese: Fry the cheese in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  • Serve: Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, marinara, or queso.

Notes

Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
