Ingredients
Scale
- 6 large eggs, hard-boiled
- 1 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika (for garnish)
- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
Instructions
- Prepare deviled eggs: Cut the hard-boiled eggs in half and carefully remove the yolks. Set the whites aside. In a medium bowl, mash the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
- Set up breading station: Prepare three bowls for breading: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko bread crumbs.
- Bread deviled eggs: Dip each deviled egg half in the flour, then the beaten eggs, and finally coat in panko bread crumbs.
- Fry deviled eggs: Heat oil in a frying pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the deviled eggs for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on a paper towel.
- Serve: Sprinkle with paprika and serve immediately.
Notes
- Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to achieve a crispy texture.
- For extra flavor, you can add minced garlic or herbs to the yolk mixture.
