Description
This Frozen Lemonade Slush is a tangy, sweet, and icy drink that’s perfect for hot summer days. It’s simple to make, and the combination of lemon and ice creates a refreshing slushy treat that everyone will love.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–5 lemons)
- 1/2 cup sugar (or to taste)
- 2 cups ice cubes
- 1 cup cold water or lemon soda (like Sprite or 7Up for extra fizz)
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest for extra citrus flavor
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar, ice cubes, and cold water (or lemon soda). Add the lemon zest if using for an extra zing.
- Blend on high speed until smooth and slushy. If it’s too thick, add a bit more cold water or soda and blend again.
- Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if needed.
- Pour the frozen lemonade slush into glasses and serve immediately with a straw or spoon. Garnish with a lemon slice or mint if desired.
Notes
- If you want a more intensely tangy flavor, you can use a bit more lemon juice or add lemon zest to the blend.
- For a fun twist, try adding a handful of frozen strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries for a fruity variation.
- To make this a frozen cocktail, add a shot of vodka or rum for an adult version of this slush.
- Store any leftovers in the freezer, and blend again before serving to restore the slush consistency.
