  • 12 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • ½ tsp lemon zest (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  2. Prepare the Brownie Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar. Add the eggs, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

  3. Add Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.

  4. Bake the Brownies: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter). The brownies should be fudgy and slightly firm around the edges.
