- 8 hot dogs, sliced into bite-sized pieces
- 1 (15 oz) can chili (with or without beans)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 hot dog buns, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
- 1/2 cup crushed potato chips or corn chips
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- Yellow mustard and ketchup for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix sliced hot dogs, chili, half of the shredded cheddar cheese, and diced onions.
- Add the cut-up hot dog buns and toss gently to combine.
- Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.
- Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese on top.
- In a small bowl, toss crushed chips with melted butter, then sprinkle over the cheese layer.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
- Remove from oven and drizzle mustard and ketchup if desired before serving.
