Instructions
- Prepare the Batter: Whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar in a bowl. In another bowl, beat the egg, then mix in the milk and vanilla extract. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry, stirring until smooth.
- Heat the Oil: Heat 1 inch of oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the Bites: Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil using a spoon or cookie scoop. Fry for 2-3 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
- Drain and Dust: Remove with a slotted spoon, draining on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar while warm.
