Description

Garlic Bread Taco Bites are a fun and delicious fusion of garlic bread and taco flavors. Perfect for appetizers or a snack, these mini taco bites feature seasoned beef, melted cheese, and a garlic butter crust, all served in bite-sized pieces. A guaranteed crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: Sour cream, salsa, or chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Slice the loaf of bread into bite-sized pieces, about 1-1.5 inch squares, and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat, then add taco seasoning and water. Stir to combine, and simmer for 5-7 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Brush this garlic butter mixture generously onto each piece of bread.
  5. Top each bread piece with a spoonful of the seasoned ground beef mixture, then sprinkle with a little cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and serve warm with optional toppings like sour cream, salsa, or chopped green onions.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • For extra flavor, add jalapeños or diced tomatoes to the beef mixture.
  • If you prefer a crispy garlic bread crust, broil the bites for the last 2-3 minutes of baking.
  • For a vegetarian option, replace the ground beef with black beans or a veggie-based taco filling.
