Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) cremini or button mushrooms, cleaned and trimmed
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme or rosemary, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the Mushrooms: In a large bowl, toss the cleaned mushrooms with melted butter, minced garlic, olive oil, thyme (or rosemary), salt, and pepper until the mushrooms are well coated.
- Roast the Mushrooms: Spread the mushrooms in a single layer on a baking sheet. Ensure they are not overcrowded to allow for even roasting. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender.
- Serve: Once roasted, remove the mushrooms from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve immediately with a squeeze of lemon juice if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese during the last 5 minutes of roasting.
- Ensure the mushrooms are not overcrowded on the baking sheet to prevent steaming.
