Ingredients
Scale
- For the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:
- 1 ½ lbs steak (ribeye, sirloin, or tenderloin), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- For the Cheesy Smashed Potatoes:
- 1 ½ lbs baby potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- Fresh chives or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- For the Cheesy Smashed Potatoes:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the baby potatoes for 15-20 minutes until tender.
- Drain the potatoes, place them on a lined baking sheet, and gently smash each potato with a fork.
- Drizzle olive oil and melted butter over the smashed potatoes. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy and golden. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and bake for another 5 minutes until melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh chives or parsley and serve hot.
- For the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:
- Season steak pieces with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak bites in a single layer for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from the skillet.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add butter, and stir in minced garlic. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss in the garlic butter sauce for an additional minute.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with the cheesy smashed potatoes.
Notes
- Ensure not to overcrowd the skillet when searing the steak for even cooking.
- Feel free to adjust the seasonings based on your preference.
