Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:
    • 1 ½ lbs steak (ribeye, sirloin, or tenderloin), cut into bite-sized pieces
    • 4 tbsp butter
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • 1 tsp salt
    • ½ tsp black pepper
    • ½ tsp paprika
    • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • For the Cheesy Smashed Potatoes:
    • 1 ½ lbs baby potatoes
    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • 2 tbsp butter, melted
    • 1 tsp garlic powder
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
    • Fresh chives or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • For the Cheesy Smashed Potatoes:
    • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the baby potatoes for 15-20 minutes until tender.
    • Drain the potatoes, place them on a lined baking sheet, and gently smash each potato with a fork.
    • Drizzle olive oil and melted butter over the smashed potatoes. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy and golden. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and bake for another 5 minutes until melted and bubbly.
    • Garnish with fresh chives or parsley and serve hot.
  • For the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:
    • Season steak pieces with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak bites in a single layer for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from the skillet.
    • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add butter, and stir in minced garlic. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
    • Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss in the garlic butter sauce for an additional minute.
    • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with the cheesy smashed potatoes.

Notes

  • Ensure not to overcrowd the skillet when searing the steak for even cooking.
  • Feel free to adjust the seasonings based on your preference.
