Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin or ribeye, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)
  • Freshly ground black pepper (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Steak:
    • Season the beef cubes with salt and pepper.
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add the beef cubes to the skillet and sear on each side for 2-3 minutes, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
  • Cook the Pineapple:
    • In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp of butter and the pineapple chunks.
    • Cook for 2-3 minutes until the pineapple is slightly caramelized. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • Make the Garlic Butter:
    • Add the remaining 2 tbsp of butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
    • If using, stir in soy sauce and honey for added flavor.
  • Combine and Serve:
    • Return the steak bites and pineapple to the skillet, tossing everything in the garlic butter sauce until well coated.
    • Garnish with freshly ground black pepper, and serve immediately.

Notes

For a bit of heat, consider adding crushed red pepper flakes to the garlic butter sauce.
