- 1 lb beef sirloin or ribeye, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 1 1/2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional)
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- Freshly ground black pepper (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Steak:
- Season the beef cubes with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef cubes to the skillet and sear on each side for 2-3 minutes, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
- Cook the Pineapple:
- In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp of butter and the pineapple chunks.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until the pineapple is slightly caramelized. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Garlic Butter:
- Add the remaining 2 tbsp of butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- If using, stir in soy sauce and honey for added flavor.
- Combine and Serve:
- Return the steak bites and pineapple to the skillet, tossing everything in the garlic butter sauce until well coated.
- Garnish with freshly ground black pepper, and serve immediately.
Notes
For a bit of heat, consider adding crushed red pepper flakes to the garlic butter sauce.
