Ingredients
Scale
- For the Steak:
- 10 oz (280g) ribeye or sirloin steak, cubed
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- For the Fried Rice:
- 3 cups cooked rice, chilled
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
- 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the Steak:
In a bowl, toss the steak cubes with soy sauce, olive oil, and black pepper. Let it marinate for 15 minutes. - Cook the Steak:
Heat a skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak cubes and sear them for 2–3 minutes until browned but still tender. Remove and set aside. - Sauté Garlic:
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add butter, and stir in minced garlic. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. - Add Rice:
Increase heat to high, add the chilled rice, and toss with the garlic butter. Spread the rice out in the skillet to let it crisp slightly. - Flavor the Rice:
Pour in soy sauce, sesame oil, and oyster sauce. Mix well until the rice is evenly coated and heated through. - Combine and Garnish:
Return the cooked steak to the skillet, toss with the rice, and stir in green onions. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. - Serve:
Transfer to a bowl and enjoy your savory, garlic butter steak fried rice!
