Description
Garlic Knots are a delightful side dish or snack featuring soft, buttery knots of pizza dough brushed with a garlic and parsley butter mixture. These knots are a perfect complement to pasta dishes, pizza, or simply enjoyed on their own.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Garlic Knots:
- 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Shape the Knots: Divide the pizza dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope about 6-8 inches long, then tie it into a loose knot. Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake the Knots: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the knots are golden brown and cooked through.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: While the knots are baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan or microwave. Stir in the minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt. If using, add the Parmesan cheese at this point for extra flavor.
- Coat the Knots: Once the garlic knots are done baking, immediately brush them with the garlic butter mixture while they’re still warm.
- Serve: Serve the Garlic Knots warm, with extra garlic butter for dipping or alongside marinara sauce for a delicious snack or side.
Notes
- Ensure the knots are still warm when brushed with garlic butter for the best flavor absorption.
- For a crispier texture, brush the knots with a little olive oil before baking.
