Description
A creamy, cheesy, and flavorful pasta bake featuring tender rotini pasta, juicy chicken, and a garlic Parmesan sauce that’s baked to perfection. Topped with melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, this dish is a family favorite and a perfect comfort food meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound rotini pasta, cooked and drained (reserve 1 cup of pasta cooking water)
- 3 cups cooked chicken, diced or shredded
- 2 jars (15 oz each) Alfredo sauce
- 1 cup garlic Parmesan sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish to prepare for the pasta bake. - Combine Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, chicken, Alfredo sauce, garlic Parmesan sauce, half of the shredded mozzarella, and half of the grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If a creamier consistency is desired, add up to ½ cup of the reserved pasta cooking water. - Assemble the Dish:
Transfer the pasta mixture to the prepared baking dish. Spread it evenly across the dish. Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. - Bake:
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the dish is bubbly. - Broil:
For a golden and crispy top, remove the foil and broil the dish for 2-3 minutes. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning, and allow the top to become golden and bubbly. - Serve:
Let the dish cool for about 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for an added touch of color and flavor. Enjoy while warm!
Notes
- Make Ahead: This dish can be assembled a day in advance. Store it in the fridge and bake it when ready to serve.
- Substitute Sauces: If you prefer a spicier dish, you can substitute the garlic Parmesan sauce with a spicy Alfredo sauce or add crushed red pepper flakes.
- Use Rotisserie Chicken: For quicker preparation, you can use store-bought rotisserie chicken, which adds great flavor and saves time.
