Ingredients
Scale
- 3 (8-ounce) tubes of crescent roll dough
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
- Prepare the Garlic Herb Butter: In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt. Reserve 1/4 cup of the butter mixture for brushing the tops of the cruffins later.
- Prepare the Dough: Roll out each crescent roll dough sheet with a rolling pin to create 3 larger rectangles. Blend the perforated lines together to form smooth sheets.
- Add Butter and Cheese: Spread a thin layer of the butter mixture evenly over each rectangle. Sprinkle about 3 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese on each sheet.
- Roll and Cut the Dough: Starting from the long edge, roll each sheet into a log. Cut each log in half, creating two shorter logs. Slice each shorter log in half lengthwise to expose the layered interior. Repeat with the remaining dough to make 12 pieces.
- Form the Cruffins: Take each piece of dough and wrap it around your finger, forming a muffin shape with the layered side facing outward. Place each shaped cruffin into the prepared muffin pan.
- Top and Bake: Melt the reserved butter mixture and brush it generously over the tops of the cruffins. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through, until the cruffins are golden brown.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the cruffins from the oven and transfer them to a cooling rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- You can substitute fresh parsley with dried herbs like basil or thyme if preferred.
- For an extra cheesy finish, sprinkle more Parmesan on top before baking.
