Instructions

  • Boil the Pasta: In a large pot of salted water, boil the spaghetti noodles until tender. Add a splash of olive oil and fresh herbs while cooking for added flavor. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  • Prepare the Shrimp: While the pasta is boiling, rinse the shrimp under cold water.
  • Cook the Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the shrimp and cook until they start to turn pink and curl up, about 2-3 minutes.

  • Combine: Add the drained pasta to the skillet. Season with Italian seasoning, fresh ground pepper, red pepper flakes, and salt to taste. Gradually add the reserved pasta water, starting with 1/4 cup, until the pasta is coated but not swimming in liquid.
