A creamy and cheesy pasta bake featuring tender shrimp, cooked pasta, and a flavorful garlic sauce, baked to bubbly perfection.

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 pound pasta (any type)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups milk
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer and cook until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper until melted and combined.
- Add the cooked pasta and shrimp to the cheese sauce. Stir to combine.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
