Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade, about 12-inch)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 oz goat cheese, crumbled
  • 6 oz soppressata slices
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Flour, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) and if using, place a pizza stone inside to heat.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to desired thickness.
  3. Transfer dough to a pizza peel or baking sheet dusted with flour or cornmeal.
  4. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce.
  6. Distribute crumbled goat cheese and soppressata slices on top.
  7. Drizzle olive oil over the pizza and sprinkle with dried oregano.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  9. Remove from oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves and optional red pepper flakes.
  10. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a crispier crust, pre-bake the dough for 3–4 minutes before adding toppings.
  • Swap soppressata with pepperoni or other cured meats if desired.
  • Add caramelized onions or roasted red peppers for extra flavor.
  • Use fresh mozzarella instead of shredded for a creamier texture.
