- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 oz goat cheese, crumbled
- 6 oz soppressata slices
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce or crushed tomatoes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
- Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- Flour, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) and if using, place a pizza stone inside to heat.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to desired thickness.
- Transfer dough to a pizza peel or baking sheet dusted with flour or cornmeal.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce.
- Distribute crumbled goat cheese and soppressata slices on top.
- Drizzle olive oil over the pizza and sprinkle with dried oregano.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves and optional red pepper flakes.
- Slice and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a crispier crust, pre-bake the dough for 3–4 minutes before adding toppings.
- Swap soppressata with pepperoni or other cured meats if desired.
- Add caramelized onions or roasted red peppers for extra flavor.
- Use fresh mozzarella instead of shredded for a creamier texture.
