Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather all the ingredients together.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hash brown potatoes, Cheddar cheese, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, half of the melted butter, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is evenly mixed.
- Spread the mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish, ensuring an even layer.
- Top the mixture with crushed cornflakes, then drizzle the remaining melted butter over the top.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the top is golden and the casserole is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and then serve.
