Description

Greek-Style Grilled Chicken Tenders are marinated in a flavorful mix of olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and herbs, then grilled to perfection for a juicy and aromatic dish. Perfect for a light dinner or as a protein-packed addition to salads and wraps.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon zest (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Place the chicken tenders in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to marinate, preferably 1-2 hours for maximum flavor.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F or 190°C). If using a grill pan, heat it over medium-high heat on the stovetop.
  4. Remove the chicken tenders from the marinade and discard the excess marinade. Grill the chicken tenders for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Once grilled, remove from the heat and let rest for a few minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and lemon zest, if desired, before serving.
  7. Serve the chicken tenders with a side of tzatziki sauce, on top of a Greek salad, or wrapped in pita bread for a delicious Mediterranean meal.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can marinate the chicken overnight for a deeper infusion of the herbs and spices.
  • If you don’t have a grill, you can also cook the chicken tenders in a skillet or under a broiler.
  • Serve these grilled tenders with a simple Greek salad or alongside roasted vegetables for a complete Mediterranean meal.
