Description

These grill pan honey glazed steak strips are tender, flavorful, and quick to prepare. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion, the sweet and savory glaze caramelizes beautifully in the pan for a mouthwatering finish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Steak (sirloin or flank), sliced into thin strips
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak strips dry with paper towels for better browning. Season evenly with salt, black pepper, and paprika if using.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic until well combined. Set aside.
  3. Place a grill pan over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Allow it to get hot but not smoking.
  4. Arrange the steak strips in a single layer in the hot pan. Let them sear undisturbed for about 2 minutes, then flip and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until browned and nearly cooked through.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium. Pour the honey-soy mixture over the steak strips. Toss to coat, letting the glaze bubble and caramelize for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently to evenly coat each piece.
  6. Once the glaze is thick and the steak strips are cooked to your desired doneness, remove from heat. Serve immediatelyโ€”ideally with any glaze left in the pan drizzled on top!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the steak strips in the glaze for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Use a cast iron grill pan for the best sear and caramelization.
  • Pair with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
