Description
Grilled BBQ Boneless Chicken Thighs are tender, juicy, and packed with flavor thanks to a smoky dry rub and a caramelized BBQ glaze. They’re quick to prepare and a favorite for summer grilling.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
- Optional garnish: chopped parsley or green onions
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F / 200°C).
- Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss them with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Grill chicken thighs for 5–6 minutes per side, flipping once, until nicely charred and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Brush generously with BBQ sauce during the last 2–3 minutes of grilling on each side, allowing the sauce to caramelize.
- Remove from grill, rest for 5 minutes, and garnish if desired. Serve hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking and keep chicken juicy.
- For extra flavor, marinate thighs in the dry rub and oil for 1–2 hours in the fridge before grilling.
- Pairs well with coleslaw, grilled corn, baked beans, or potato salad.
- You can also cook these on a grill pan indoors or bake them at 425°F for 25–30 minutes, finishing with a broil for a charred effect.
