Ingredients
Scale
For the Chicken Wings:
- 10–12 chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
For the Corn:
- 4 ears of corn, husked and cleaned
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional, for extra flavor)
For Garnish (optional):
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- Lime wedges (optional)
- Grated parmesan or cotija cheese (optional, for the corn)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken Wings:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. You can add a squeeze of lemon juice for a fresh citrus touch if desired. Let the wings marinate for 10-15 minutes if you have time. - Grill the Chicken Wings:
Place the wings on the preheated grill and cook for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure they cook evenly on all sides. The wings are done when they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy and golden brown. - Prepare the Corn:
While the wings are grilling, brush the corn with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika (if using). Place the corn on the grill, turning every 2-3 minutes, and grill for about 10-12 minutes until the kernels are tender and slightly charred. - Serve:
Once the chicken wings and corn are done, remove them from the grill. Serve the wings alongside the grilled corn, and garnish with fresh parsley and lime wedges if desired. Optionally, sprinkle the corn with grated parmesan or cotija cheese for an added flavor boost.
Notes
- If you prefer spicy wings, toss them in your favorite hot sauce or BBQ sauce just before serving.
- For a sweeter twist, you can brush the corn with a bit of honey or maple syrup during grilling.
- You can make this meal ahead of time and reheat in the oven or on the grill to enjoy later.
