Description

Grilled Parmesan Garlic Oysters are a savory, smoky treat featuring fresh oysters topped with a rich garlic butter and parmesan cheese crust, then grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 fresh oysters, shucked
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Place oysters on the grill shell side down to stabilize.
  4. Top each oyster with a generous spoonful of the garlic butter mixture.
  5. Close the grill and cook for 5โ€“7 minutes, or until the butter is bubbly and cheese is golden.
  6. Carefully remove oysters from the grill, garnish with extra parsley if desired, and serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Use fresh, live oysters for best flavor and safety.
  • Can substitute Parmesan with Pecorino Romano for a sharper taste.
  • Serve with crusty bread to soak up the buttery juices.
