Description

This fun and festive Grinch Popcorn is the perfect sweet and salty treat for holiday parties or movie nights. With vibrant green marshmallow coating and red M&M’s for decoration, it’s sure to bring a little holiday cheer.


Ingredients

  • 10 cups of popped popcorn
  • Salt, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons salted butter
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows
  • Green food coloring (use yellow and blue to achieve Grinch green)
  • 1/2 cup additional mini marshmallows (for topping)
  • Red M&M’s candies (for decoration)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Popcorn: Pop the popcorn and season it with salt. Set aside in a large bowl.
  • Make the Marshmallow Mixture: In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the 3 cups of mini marshmallows, stirring until completely melted.
  • Color the Marshmallow Mixture: Remove from heat and color the marshmallow mixture with yellow food coloring. Add a small drop of blue to achieve a vibrant Grinch green.
  • Combine: Pour the green marshmallow mixture over the salted popcorn, mixing gently to coat evenly.
  • Add Toppings: Spread the coated popcorn on a baking sheet. While still warm, sprinkle with additional mini marshmallows and red M&M’s.
  • Set and Serve: Allow the popcorn to cool and set. Break into pieces and serve for a festive treat.
