Description

Ground Beef Ramen Skillet is a quick and flavorful one-pan meal that combines savory ground beef, tender ramen noodles, and a delicious blend of seasonings. It’s an easy, satisfying dish perfect for busy nights, offering all the comfort of ramen with a hearty twist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 packages of ramen noodles (discard seasoning packet)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas (or mixed vegetables)
  • 2 tbsp green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it up into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the diced onion and garlic to the skillet with the beef and sauté for 2-3 minutes, until softened.
  3. Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, ground ginger, crushed red pepper flakes (if using), and beef broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the ramen noodles and frozen peas (or mixed vegetables) to the skillet. Stir to combine, making sure the noodles are submerged in the broth.
  5. Cover the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, or until the noodles are tender and the broth has mostly absorbed.
  6. Remove from heat, season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • You can add a boiled egg on top for extra protein and flavor.
  • Feel free to swap out the ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • For a richer flavor, consider adding a tablespoon of hoisin sauce or oyster sauce to the broth mixture.
