Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust:
- 2 cups Oreo cookie crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the Cheesecake Filling:
- 3 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Food coloring (orange, black, purple)
For the Topping:
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- Halloween-themed sprinkles or decorations
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- Prepare Crust: In a medium bowl, mix the Oreo cookie crumbs and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
- Prepare Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract, almond extract, and sour cream until fully combined.
- Color the Batter: Divide the cheesecake batter into three separate bowls. Add orange food coloring to one bowl, black food coloring to the second bowl, and purple food coloring to the third bowl. Mix each bowl until the color is even.
- Layer the Batter: Pour the orange batter over the crust and spread it evenly. Carefully pour the black batter over the orange layer, spreading it evenly. Finally, pour the purple batter over the black layer, spreading it evenly.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door slightly open for 1 hour.
- Cool and Chill: Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Prepare Topping: In a medium bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread or pipe the whipped cream over the chilled cheesecake.
- Decorate: Decorate with Halloween-themed sprinkles or decorations before serving
Notes
- For the best results, use room temperature cream cheese to avoid lumps in the batter.
- Ensure the cheesecake is completely cooled before refrigerating to prevent condensation.
