Ingredients
Scale
- 6 hard-boiled eggs
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red and yellow food coloring
- Black olives
Instructions
- Prepare the Eggs: Cut the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks.
- Make the Filling: In a bowl, mash the egg yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth. Add a few drops of red and yellow food coloring to achieve an orange color.
- Assemble the Deviled Eggs: Spoon or pipe the orange yolk mixture into each egg white half.
- Add Spooky Eyes: Slice black olives into small pieces and place them on top of the yolk mixture to resemble spooky eyes.
Notes
- Use older eggs for easier peeling.
- If the yolk mixture is too thick, add a little more mayonnaise to reach the desired consistency.
- Store deviled eggs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
