- 4 cups fresh baby spinach
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1 cheese stick
- 4 black olives
- Pinch of salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Mac and Cheese:
- Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions. Drain and mix in the cheese mixture, butter, and milk as directed.
- Make the Monster Slime Sauce:
- Place the spinach and 2 tablespoons of water in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 2 minutes until wilted.
- Cool slightly, then blend with 1 tablespoon of water into a smooth, bright green puree.
- Add the Monster Slime to Mac and Cheese:
- Stir the spinach puree into the prepared mac and cheese until the sauce turns vibrant green. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Create the Spooky Eyeballs:
- Slice the cheese stick into thick rounds. Punch a hole in the center of each round and place a black olive slice in the center.
- Assemble the Halloween Mac and Cheese:
- Serve the green mac and cheese on plates or in bowls, topped with the spooky eyeballs.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of spinach puree to achieve the desired green color.
- For a more pronounced “monster” effect, you can add extra spooky garnishes like edible spiders or pumpkin-shaped croutons.
