Description
A succulent and flavorful beef tenderloin roast coated in a rich herb butter mixture, perfect for special occasions and family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 lb beef tenderloin roast
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Pat the beef tenderloin dry and season it generously with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, chopped rosemary, thyme, and minced garlic until well combined.
- Rub the herb butter mixture all over the beef tenderloin.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef tenderloin on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare. Adjust cooking time as needed for your desired doneness.
- Remove the beef from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
Notes
- For best results, allow the beef to come to room temperature before cooking.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure accurate doneness.
