Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups dry milk powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla powder (optional, for extra flavor)
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional, for extra richness)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, dry milk powder, and salt until fully combined.
- If using, stir in the vanilla powder for an added flavor boost.
- For an extra indulgent touch, fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Store the cocoa mix in an airtight container at room temperature. It will stay fresh for up to 6 months.
- To make hot cocoa: Add 3 tablespoons of cocoa mix to a mug. Pour in 1 cup of hot water or milk, and stir until the mix is dissolved and smooth. Adjust the amount of mix depending on how rich you prefer your cocoa.
- Optional: Top with whipped cream, marshmallows, or a sprinkle of cinnamon for extra flavor!
Notes
- For a dairy-free version, use powdered coconut milk or almond milk powder instead of dry milk powder.
- Customize your cocoa mix by adding a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, or chili powder for a spiced version.
- If you want a more intense chocolate flavor, increase the cocoa powder by a tablespoon or two.
