Description

Tangy and slightly salty dill pickle flavored gummy worms that make a unique snack or party treat. These homemade gummy worms combine the refreshing crunch of pickles with a chewy, gelatinous texture for a surprising twist.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup dill pickle juice (strained, no solids)
  • 3 tbsp unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1 tbsp honey or agave syrup (optional, for slight sweetness)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional for extra pickle flavor)
  • Food coloring (green, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, pour the dill pickle juice and sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the surface. Let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin dissolves completely (do not boil).
  3. Remove from heat and stir in honey, apple cider vinegar, and garlic powder if using.
  4. If desired, add a few drops of green food coloring and mix well.
  5. Pour the mixture into gummy worm molds or a shallow pan to cut into strips later.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.
  7. Carefully remove gummy worms from molds or cut into worm-shaped strips.
  8. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
