Description

This Homemade Garlic Herb Butter is a deliciously versatile spread that’s perfect for breads, grilled meats, vegetables, and more. Packed with fresh garlic, herbs, and a creamy base, it’s the ultimate way to elevate any dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Soften the Butter: Allow the unsalted butter to soften at room temperature for about 30 minutes before preparing the garlic herb butter.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a medium bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, thyme, and rosemary. Add the lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Mix Well: Use a spoon or spatula to mix everything together until it’s fully combined and smooth. If desired, you can also use a hand mixer for a lighter, fluffier texture.
  4. Chill (Optional): If you prefer a firmer consistency, place the garlic herb butter in the fridge for about 30 minutes to set.
  5. Serve: Spread the garlic herb butter on warm bread, melt it over grilled vegetables, or use it to enhance your favorite dishes. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1-2 weeks.

Notes

  • You can substitute dried herbs if fresh herbs aren’t available, but fresh will yield the best flavor.
  • For an added kick, try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the butter.
  • This butter is perfect for garlic bread, steaks, baked potatoes, or even as a topping for roasted chicken.
