Description

These Honey Cinnamon Roll-Ups are a quick, delicious treat with the perfect balance of sweet honey and warm cinnamon. Ideal for breakfast, a snack, or a fun dessert, these roll-ups are simple to make and perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of bread (white or whole wheat, preferably thick-sliced)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • A pinch of salt (optional, to enhance flavor)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly with cooking spray.
  • Prepare the bread: Trim the crusts off the bread slices and flatten them gently with a rolling pin (optional, but helps for rolling). Then, cut each slice of bread into halves or quarters, depending on how large you want the roll-ups to be.
  • Make the cinnamon mixture: In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon, sugar (if using), and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
  • Brush with butter and honey: Brush each piece of bread with the melted butter, then drizzle a small amount of honey on each piece. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the honey-buttered bread.
  • Roll them up: Carefully roll each piece of bread into a tight log, starting from one edge. Place the roll-ups seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the roll-ups are golden brown and crispy.
    1. Serve: Let the roll-ups cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with a little extra honey for extra sweetness, if desired.

Notes

  • Bread choice: For a slightly richer flavor, you can use brioche or challah bread instead of regular white bread.
  • Toppings: These roll-ups are great with a light dusting of powdered sugar or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a fun dessert twist.
  • Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. You can also freeze them and reheat them in the microwave or oven.
