Description
These Honey Whipped Feta and Cranberry Crostini are the perfect appetizer for any holiday gathering. Creamy whipped feta, sweet honey, and tangy cranberries come together on crisp toasted bread for a bite-sized treat that’s both savory and sweet.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz feta cheese, crumbled
- 2 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons honey (plus more for drizzling)
- 1/4 cup fresh cranberries, chopped (or cranberry sauce)
- 1 baguette, sliced into thin rounds
- Olive oil for brushing
- Fresh thyme (optional, for garnish)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush each slice with olive oil.
- Toast the baguette slices in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- While the crostini are baking, make the whipped feta. In a food processor, combine feta cheese, cream cheese, and honey. Blend until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust the honey or salt as desired.
- Once the crostini are toasted, spread the whipped feta mixture evenly over each slice.
- Top with chopped cranberries or cranberry sauce.
- Drizzle with extra honey and garnish with fresh thyme (if using).
- Serve immediately, and enjoy the perfect balance of sweet and savory!
Notes
- For a smoother whipped feta, let the cream cheese soften at room temperature before blending.
- You can use store-bought cranberry sauce for convenience or make your own.
- Add more fresh thyme or nuts (like toasted pecans) for added texture and flavor.
