Description

This Hot Chocolate Dip with Marshmallow Fluff is a rich, creamy treat perfect for the holiday season. With marshmallow fluff, cream cheese, and hot chocolate mix, this dip brings all the comforting flavors of hot cocoa in an easy-to-make dip. Top it with mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, or crushed peppermint for a festive finish!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 7 oz marshmallow crème (or substitute with homemade marshmallow cream)
  • ⅓ cup hot chocolate mix
  • ¼ cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup mini marshmallows (+ extra for garnish)
  • ½ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips (+ extra for garnish)

Optional Garnishes:

  • Crushed peppermint or candy canes
  • Hot chocolate mix

Dipping Suggestions:

  • Graham crackers
  • Oreos or Golden Oreos
  • Vanilla wafers
  • Large marshmallows

Instructions

  • Mix Cream Cheese and Butter:
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy. A hand mixer works best for this step. If you don’t have one, a fork will work, but it may take a bit longer to fully combine.
  • Add the Marshmallow Crème and Dry Ingredients:
Stir in the marshmallow crème, hot chocolate mix, and confectioners sugar. Mix until smooth and fully incorporated.
  • Add Vanilla and Fold in Extras:
Stir in the vanilla extract. Gently fold in the mini marshmallows and mini chocolate chips, reserving a few for garnish.
  • Garnish and Serve:
Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Garnish with additional mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, crushed peppermint, or a sprinkle of hot chocolate mix. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese and butter are softened before mixing for the smoothest dip.
  • The dip can be made a day in advance and stored in the fridge.
  • For a thicker dip, use less heavy cream or refrigerate it for a longer time.
  • This dip works well with a variety of dippers like graham crackers, Oreos, or even fruit slices.
