Description

This Swirled Caramel Cheesecake is a rich and creamy dessert with a buttery graham cracker crust and a decadent caramel swirl throughout. Perfect for special occasions or a sweet treat!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ cup melted butter

For the Filling:

  • 3 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup heavy cream

For the Caramel Swirl:

  • ½ cup caramel sauce
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder (optional for dusting)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  • Prepare the Crust: In a bowl, mix together graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool.
  • Make the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract, sour cream, and heavy cream until the mixture is smooth.
  • Create the Caramel Swirl: In a small bowl, mix caramel sauce with heavy cream until smooth. Pour the cheesecake filling over the prepared crust. Drizzle the caramel mixture over the top of the cheesecake filling. Use a toothpick or knife to gently swirl the caramel through the filling for a marbled effect.
  • Bake the Cheesecake: Place the cheesecake in the oven and bake for 55-65 minutes, or until the center is just set (it should still be slightly jiggly). Turn off the oven, crack the door slightly, and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour. After cooling, refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Serve: Before serving, you can dust the top with cocoa powder if desired. Slice and drizzle with extra caramel sauce if you like.

Notes

  • Dust with cocoa powder before serving for added flavor and presentation.
  • For a richer caramel flavor, use homemade caramel sauce.
