- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs

- 2 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 ½ cups milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup high-quality dark chocolate (for dipping), chopped into chunks
- Optional: Flaked sea salt (for sprinkling on top)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and milk chocolate chips.
- Scoop large portions of dough (about 3 tablespoons per cookie) and roll them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are still slightly soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- While the cookies cool, melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a double boiler or in the microwave in short bursts. Stir until smooth.
- Once the cookies have cooled, dip the tops into the melted dark chocolate, then place them back on the wire rack.
- Optional: Sprinkle flaked sea salt on top of the dipped chocolate for an extra layer of flavor.
- Allow the chocolate to set (you can refrigerate them for faster results).
