Description

A deliciously cheesy and spicy bread that combines the flavors of jalapeño poppers with the perfect crusty French bread.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup shredded medium cheddar
  • 1 jalapeño, diced
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1/2 loaf of French bread (1 loaf, cut in half lengthwise)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, combine cream cheese, mozzarella, cheddar, diced jalapeño, and mayonnaise.
  • Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the cut sides of the French bread.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Turn on the broiler and broil for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese browns slightly.
  • Allow to cool for a couple of minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra spice, leave some seeds in the jalapeño.
  • Serve with a side of salsa or ranch dressing for dipping.
