Description

Bright, chewy, and irresistibly nostalgic—this Jelly Nougat Candy is a perfect treat for sharing! Packed with mini marshmallows, white chocolate, and colorful gumdrops, it’s a fun, festive treat that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 20 ounces mini marshmallows
  • 4 cups white chocolate chips
  • 2 cups gumdrops, cut into small pieces

Instructions

  • Prepare the Gumdrops
Chop the gumdrops into small pieces and set aside. Lightly dust with powdered sugar to prevent them from sticking.
  • Melt the Base Ingredients
In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.
Add the mini marshmallows and stir constantly until they are fully melted and smooth.
Gradually add the white chocolate chips, stirring until the chocolate has melted and is fully incorporated into the mixture.
  • Add the Gumdrops
Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly for about 2 minutes.
Gently fold in the gumdrop pieces until they are evenly distributed throughout the nougat mixture.
  • Shape the Candy
Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Pour the nougat mixture into the dish and spread it evenly using a spatula.
  • Chill and Cut
Place the dish in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours, or until the nougat has set and is firm.
Once firm, remove the nougat from the dish, peel off the parchment paper, and cut it into small squares or rectangles.

Notes

  • Lightly dust the gumdrops with powdered sugar before folding them into the mixture to keep them from sticking together.
  • For a fun variation, try using different types of gumdrops or candy for a personalized twist on the recipe.
  • Be sure to let the nougat cool for a few minutes before adding the gumdrops to avoid them melting in the hot mixture.
