Description

Joe’s Crab Shack Crab Dip is a creamy, savory dip packed with tender crab meat, perfect for your next party or get-together. This rich and flavorful dip is a hit for seafood lovers and pairs wonderfully with crackers, fresh veggies, or toasted bread. A true crowd-pleaser that’s easy to make and full of flavor!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lump crab meat, drained and shredded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (or Cajun seasoning)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • Tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh veggies (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish (such as a 9×9-inch square dish or similar).

  2. Mix the Dip Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.

  3. Fold in the Crab Meat: Gently fold the lump crab meat into the mixture, being careful not to break up the crab too much. Taste and adjust the seasoning, adding more Old Bay or pepper if desired.

  4. Bake: Transfer the crab mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly, and the top is lightly golden brown.

  5. Serve: Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley for a pop of color (optional). Serve the crab dip warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh veggies for dipping.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a few dashes of hot sauce or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
  • You can also make this dip ahead of time and refrigerate it, then bake it when you’re ready to serve.
  • If you prefer a spicier dip, add more Old Bay seasoning or a bit of cayenne pepper.
