Ingredients
Scale
Protein & Meats
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 6 slices bacon, cooked crisp and chopped
Dairy & Creaminess
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, plus extra for topping if desired
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Vegetables
- 2 cups broccoli florets, fresh or frozen (lightly steamed if fresh)
Seasonings
- 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prep the Ingredients: Cook the bacon until crisp, then drain on paper towels and chop into bite-sized pieces. If chicken is not cooked, cook and shred or dice it. Chop fresh broccoli into florets and steam lightly to soften if using fresh broccoli.
- Combine the Creamy Base: In a large bowl, mix together softened cream cheese, heavy cream, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
- Mix All Components: Add the shredded chicken, chopped bacon, broccoli florets, and shredded cheddar cheese to the creamy base. Fold everything together gently until evenly incorporated.
- Bake the Casserole: Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish. Optionally, sprinkle extra cheddar cheese on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Let It Rest and Serve: After baking, allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes so it sets and is easier to slice and serve.
Notes
- Use room temperature cream cheese for a smoother, creamier texture.
- Crisp the bacon well to avoid sogginess and add crunch.
- Donโt overcook broccoli; keep it slightly firm for the best texture and color.
- Adding extra cheese on top creates a golden, bubbly crust.
- Let the casserole rest after baking to firm up and make slicing easier.
