Description

Kroll’s Kookies are soft, chewy, and perfectly balanced cookies that combine the richness of butter with the sweetness of chocolate chips and the crunch of walnuts. This family-favorite recipe is perfect for any occasion and will quickly become a staple in your cookie jar.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
    2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
    3. Add the eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
    4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
    5. Stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts (if using).
    6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
    7. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.
    8. Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
