Description

  • This Layered Ranch Dip is a party favorite that combines creamy ranch, fresh veggies, cheese, and more into one irresistible, scoopable snack. Perfect for game days, potlucks, or backyard BBQs, it’s easy to prep and always the first thing gone on the table. Serve with tortilla chips, pita, or fresh veggies for dipping!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch dressing mix

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes (roma or grape work great)

  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

  • 1/2 cup chopped cooked bacon (optional, but amazing!)

  • Tortilla chips or fresh veggies, for serving

Instructions

  1. Make the Creamy Ranch Base:
In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch dressing mix until smooth and creamy. A hand mixer helps make this super fluffy.

  2. Assemble the Layers:

    • Spread the ranch base evenly in the bottom of a shallow serving dish or pie plate.

    • Layer the shredded cheddar cheese over the ranch base.

    • Add a layer of shredded lettuce.

    • Sprinkle on chopped tomatoes.

    • Top with black olives (if using), green onions, and crispy bacon crumbles.

  3. Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate the dip for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors blend and the layers set.
Serve chilled with tortilla chips, crackers, or veggie sticks.

Notes

  • This dip is super customizable—swap in avocado, jalapeños, or bell peppers for extra flair.

  • Make it up to 1 day ahead and cover tightly with plastic wrap. Add lettuce and tomatoes just before serving for maximum freshness.

  • To make it vegetarian, skip the bacon.
