Description

Deliciously marinated tofu skewers infused with fresh lemon juice and fragrant coriander, perfect for grilling or baking.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 400g firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden or metal skewers


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix lemon juice, olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, chopped coriander, cumin, chili flakes, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and toss gently to coat. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Thread the marinated tofu cubes onto the skewers.
  4. Preheat the grill or oven to 200°C (390°F).
  5. Grill the skewers for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until golden and slightly charred. Alternatively, bake in the oven on a lined tray for 20 minutes, turning halfway through.
  6. Serve hot with a side salad or rice.

Notes

  • Press tofu well to remove excess water for better texture.
  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
  • Can be served with a mint yogurt dip or tahini sauce.
