Description

Lemon Lavender Margaritas are a refreshing cocktail blending tequila with fresh lemon juice and fragrant lavender syrup, perfect for a sunny afternoon or special occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz tequila blanco
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 oz lavender simple syrup (see note)
  • 1/2 oz triple sec or orange liqueur
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon wheel and lavender sprig for garnish
  • Salt or sugar for rimming the glass (optional)

Instructions

  1. If desired, rim your glass with lemon juice and dip into salt or sugar. Set aside.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  3. Add tequila, fresh lemon juice, lavender simple syrup, and triple sec.
  4. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  5. Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
  6. Garnish with a lemon wheel and a sprig of lavender.

Notes

  • Lavender Simple Syrup: Combine 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, and 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and steep for 20 minutes. Strain and cool before use.
  • Adjust sweetness by varying lavender syrup amount.
  • For a twist, substitute lemon juice with lime juice.
