Description

A delightful dessert that combines tangy lemon, creamy cheesecake, and airy meringue, creating a heavenly treat perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup melted butter
24 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup water
4 egg whites
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar


Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter; press into a 9-inch springform pan.
  • Bake crust for 10 minutes until golden brown; let cool.
  • Beat cream cheese until smooth; add sugar and vanilla, then eggs one at a time. Stir in sour cream.
  • Whisk lemon juice, cornstarch, and water; mix into cheesecake batter.
  • Pour batter over cooled crust; bake for 45-50 minutes until set. Cool completely.
  • Beat egg whites, cream of tartar, and salt until stiff peaks form; gradually add sugar.
  • Spread meringue over cooled cheesecake; bake for 15-20 minutes until meringue is golden. Cool completely before serving.
