Description

These Loaded Crispy Potato Chips are a perfect snack or appetizer, piled high with melted cheese, crispy bacon, and a variety of tasty toppings. They’re crispy, savory, and totally irresistible!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag of kettle-cooked potato chips (about 8 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a cheese blend)
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon (crumbled)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup green onions (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped, optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chips: Arrange the kettle-cooked potato chips in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Make sure they’re spread out and not overlapping for even coverage.
  2. Add Cheese and Bacon: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously over the chips. Top with crumbled bacon pieces.
  3. Bake: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the loaded chips in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  4. Garnish: Remove from the oven and drizzle with sour cream. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and fresh parsley for a burst of color and flavor. Optionally, you can season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve: Serve the loaded crispy potato chips hot and enjoy immediately

Notes

  • If you like more toppings, you can add jalapeños, diced tomatoes, or even a drizzle of ranch dressing.
  • For an even crispier chip, bake the chips for a few extra minutes, but keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
  • You can also use different types of cheese like mozzarella or pepper jack for a twist.
