- 2 lbs ground chuck
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2 cans (15 oz each) tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 large onion (or 2 medium onions), diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons minced parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried sweet basil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In an extra-large heated skillet, add olive oil.
- Add diced onions and diced green pepper; cook for about 5 to 7 minutes on medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and cook until browned.
- Add ground chuck and cook until browned. Drain excess grease from the meat.
- Add all seasonings and spices; stir to mix throughout the browned ground chuck.
- Add crushed and diced tomatoes; stir.
- Finally, add tomato sauce and stir again. Turn heat to low and let simmer for 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, boil spaghetti pasta in a large pot for about 7 to 8 minutes, adding 1 tablespoon of olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Drain the water from the pasta and add the meat sauce. Serve hot.
